Highly qualified maths teacher

Get help with your maths question from Ms. B, who is a qualified and experienced secondary maths teacher in Australia. She is registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching [VIT] and holds a current ‘Working with Children’ check.

Interactive, real-time help

We use an interactive whiteboard called ‘Ziteboard’, which enables you to ask Ms. B questions directly and use the whiteboard tools, as needed.

Student requirements

Prior to the tutorial start-time, students will need to create a free account with Ziteboard. It’s a quick and simple process – You can also sign in via your Google account, if preferred.

Typically, students find Ziteboard really easy to use via a desktop / laptop computer. It also works well with an iPad or android device, which enables the use of a stylus or apple pencil, etc.

GETTING STARTED: STEP-BY-STEP

Get individual, real-time help from our qualified maths teacher, via the following steps:

Create a free account & buy a credit bundle

Join our learning platform by creating a free account. Then, customise your dashboard to access the ‘Solo Tutorial Booking page’. Your parent / guardian will also need to create an account to buy / transfer credits to you.

Get an Access Pass

Use credits to buy an ‘Access pass’, via our ‘Resource hub’. You can choose to use this time within one day, or over a few weeks, months, or year. You’ll need at least 30-mins available on your ‘Access Pass’ to confirm the booking.

Request a solo tutorial

Students can get started by completing the ‘Solo Tutorial Request’ form (available via the ‘Student dashboard’). Once we’ve received your request, we’ll provide you with access to our ‘Booking calendar’.

Choose your preferred date and time

You can use the ‘Booking calendar’ to select your preferred tutorial time from the available options. New tutorial time-slots are made available for the week ahead.

Get organised

We recommend you create a free Ziteboard account. This will enable you to chat to the teacher directly and use the whiteboard tools.

Frequently Asked Questions

Browse through some of our FAQ’s, and if you still need help, get in touch with our friendly support team.

If you’ve got a fairly good understanding of a maths topic, but have just come across a tricky question, then the ‘Student Help-desk’ is ideal for you. We can provide quick help via the help-desk, via text chat and screenshots etc. It’s also great for those situations when you just need a teacher to look over your ‘working-out’ to see where you’ve made a mistake, and then guide you in the right direction.

On the other hand, if you’re really stuck on a maths topic, and are feeling overwhelmed, then a ‘Solo tutorial‘ would be a better option. You can book a 30-minute tutorial at a time and date that suits you, and get direct help from a teacher via an interactive whiteboard. We can explain a topic to you, step-by-step with lots of clear and concise examples.

Our solo tutorials are a great way to help students that need help with an extensive or applied maths question (i.e., multiple parts, etc.). Ms. B can guide you through the key concepts of a maths topic and provide easy-to-understand examples, which are relevant to you.

Please note: If you need help with a maths assignment, we can help you to understand the relevant maths topic and similar questions, but not with the actual assignment.

Ms. B generally uses a combination of digital tools to help students. As well as an interactive whiteboard, she may use a range of mathematics apps (such as graphing tools), depending on the maths topic and year level.

Our solo tutorials are conducted on an interactive whiteboard called ‘Ziteboard‘. You’ll need to create a free account prior to the tutorial so that you can interact with the teacher and use the whiteboard tools. It has a responsive design, and works on desktop computers, laptops, tablets; and smartphones. It has been tested on most browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft edge, Safari and Brave. We recommend that you choose one of the previously-mentioned browsers for your device.

We’ve also found that students prefer to access the whiteboard via an iPad or android device, as it enables them use an apple pencil or stylus to hand-write the questions etc.

If you have any technical issues when using our learning platform, please get in touch with our friendly ‘Tech Support’ team via live chat or email.

The solo tutorials are available via our learning platform’s ‘Store credit’ system. Purchase a single credit or bundle, and then use them to buy an Access pass, as needed (i.e., 30- or 60-minute time-blocks). Depending on your learning style, you can choose to use your purchased time in a single day, or spread it out over a week, month, or term. For example, depending on the amount of time purchased, you could use it to book a ‘Solo Tutorial’ and also upload a question to the ‘Student Help-desk’. We’ll keep a record of when we’ve helped you for each question or tutorial, and deduct the time as we go. We have a range of Credit bundle options to suit most budgets – They’re affordable, flexible and never expire.

Please note: When booking a solo tutorial, you’ll need 30-minutes available in your account, so that we can confirm your booking from our end.

We completely understand if you need to cancel a ‘Solo tutorial’ booking. We can provide you a refund in the following situations:

  • If you cancel the booking at least 24 hours prior to the tutorial start-time, we will refund you 100% of the total number of credits used to purchase the solo tutorial.
  • If you cancel the booking within 24 hours of the tutorial start-time, we will refund you 50% of the total number of credits used to purchase the solo tutorial.
  • If you miss the tutorial without letting us know beforehand (i.e., a no-show), we are not able to provide you with a refund for any credits used to purchase the solo tutorial.

Once your solo tutorial booking has been confirmed, you’ll no longer have access to the booking calendar. If you need to make another booking, you can complete the ‘Solo Tutorial Request‘ form via your ‘Student dashboard’, and we’ll reactivate your access.

As mentioned, our learning platform operates via a ‘Store credit‘ system.

Parents can create a free account and then purchase / transfer the credits to their child’s ‘Student account’ (via the ‘Parent portal’). The student can then use these credits to purchase an ‘Access pass’, which includes a block of time (i.e., 30- or 60-minute ‘time-block’) via the ‘Resource hub‘, as needed. Please note: You will need to customise your dashboard to let us know whether you’d like to set up a ‘Student’ or ‘Parent’ account.

If a family has two (2) or more children that would like to book a solo tutorial, their parent / guardian can buy one (1) bundle and then allocate the purchased credits between each child, as preferred.

Parents can purchase a credit bundle via the Parent portal, using the secure, ‘Stripe payment gateway’. When credits have been transferred across to the child’s account, the student can use them to access the ‘Resource hub’, and purchase an ‘Access pass’, etc., as needed.
